Sikkim Chopper Service |
For the more discerning travelers, Sikkim Tourism offers helicopter service in Sikkim and neighboring areas. The Government of Sikkim has taken a step forwarding not only connecting places for travel enthusiasts but also promote “helitourism” in the State by opening up newer and exotic destinations connecting them with helicopter services. The Helicopter services are operated by the Department of Tourism through Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation. Helicopter travel not only offers and exclusive mode of transport but makes one to enjoy Sikkim in a different perspective. One can see the majestic Singalila Mountain Range in its entirety with Mt. Khangchendzonga , the third highest peak in the world at its best. There is no match for the beauty of Mt. Sinalchu , considered by many as the most beautiful peak of the Range. The emerald green Rangeet and Teesta rivers meandering through the valleys are a sight to behold.
Travel by helicopter gives an opportunity to have “bird’s eye” view of the beautiful that Mother nature has to offer: from the majestic mountains, to beautiful paddy fields to pristine forests, to clean lakes, whispering waterfalls, majestic cascades, etc.
