Sikkim: Preparing for a treak to Zongri

Well looking back into my life and remembering the adventure i took, what comes most clearly to me is my treak to Zongri. Zongri is in west Sikkim. A place filled with blossoming Rodorenderons, virgin forests, and mammoth mountain rages.
It all started with the ending of my class XII board exams, well i had gone into studying hibernation, and well i had nothing in focus just books, books and just books. I along with two best buddies LAwrence ( Lahure ) and Rinzing (ZING) planed one fine day to go for trekking .
Well Lawrence Sister was a Doctor in Yuksome, another beautiful village in west Sikkim, so we thought that ,we will make her home as a base and head out into the wilderness.
We all got our permissions from out parents with lots of persuasion and packed some worm clothes, and trekking boots. I happened to carry my Father's Kanpure boots, My Father the man who is full of life and fun, had been NCC commanding officer, so i got access to his Kanpure boots, well i could wear his boots. Man those Boots, its sturdy, heavy and manly.
The day before the journey, i called both the guys to my place; we stayed awake the entire night planning what to do and what to carry. After all we came to a conclusion that, we will halt at Jorethang, south Sikkim, where we have a house which was given to rent, will pick up the rent and will serve as extra bucks for the trip.

SO early morning we started on a commander jeep, lovingly called as PIJO, from Gangtok it was all down hill till Jorethang, we also planned to get our ration from Jorethang. SO sportingly we shopped for rice, Kerosene and other required stuff. We stuffed our self with Momos and chutney and headed all the now, uphill to Yuksome.Yuksome, is another beautiful village and at one time it was the Capital of Sikkim, under the Chogyals. They were the rulers of Sikkim before it became an Indian State. The same evening we reached Yuksome.
Lawrence Sister was overjoyed to see us and we all had a good time in from of the hospital, we build campfire since its was a high altitude and lot colder than Gangtok. We armed ourselves with Salt bulbs to counter the leach, and stove to cook in the near freezing temperature.
